After buying iPhone 4, will AT&T hassle me about unlocking my old 3GS?

After i buy the iphone 4 I want to give my 3GS to a friend who's on t-mobile, so I'll need to get my 3GS unlocked. I'd rather have it done right and have AT&T unlock it. Anyone had experience wih this.

AT&T will not unlock iPhones for any circumstances (and they blame it on Apple, told me that Apple is the one that lock the iPhone, which is hilarious as Apple sells unlocked iPhones in other countries). I don't understand why there's no class-action lawsuit against this yet.

That would be nice but like said above. Ain't happening.
All us iPhone are locked to AT&T and they don't officially unlock them.
