Hi Rumors

After CPU Upgrade Ram not recognized anymore? I can't find bent pins but when I start Mac pro it beeps every 5 seconds without boot
chime at all.
I head big difficulty to remove the CPU holder it was two holders that came up with CPU tray .
I can't find any starch that can damage the CPU board what else could go wrong?

I hope you didn’t follow a YouTube video or other 3rd party tutorial. Only Apple’s instructions should be used and the CPU is actually not suppose to be removed from the riser card. A new CPU is only available pre-installed on a new riser card from Apple.

Apple’s repair instructions are on this forum in a thread with LED diagnostics in the title. You are one of several people to have a problem after an attempted DIY CPU replacement who have come forward on this forum.

My best guess is that the ribbon cable was damaged or one or more screws were not torqued correctly which may have damaged something. Apple specifies exact torque values.
