I downgraded my iPhone 3G to iOS 3.1.3 recently and it works great. I was able to jailbreak and unlock it. However everytime I turn off WiFi there's a E at the bar. I can't turn it off, and my data roaming is off. The phone sends and receives cellular network data even when I'm not using apps that require a connection.

Also, I'm unable to use a lot of apps right now, like Cydia and Twitter. Is there some solution to this? I've been downloading older versions of twitter, for example, from apptrackr but I can't add it to the phone either. Now I'm contemplating to switch back to the new iOS... any advice?
