After effects cs3 see 3gb ram only?

Hello,

i have macbook pro 17" with 4gb ram, intel core 2 2.6, nvidia 8600m gt, 200 gb (100 for winxp)

when i launch adobe after effects cs3 in mac at the ae splash screen , it stats 4% of 3gb. why ?? i have 4gb ram. how can i solve this problem.

its normal by design (a 32bit app?), I think, you can't solve it.
