After getting a new MBP 2.53GHz, I can't send any mail?

I use the Mobile Me and I thought that it sync's up all of the Mail which it did, but I can't seem to send any mail. When I try to send a TEST email to any of my emails the SENDING mailbox just has a spinning circle and doesn't go away.

I can receive emails but sending them is the problem.

Have you checked the mail account settings? It sounds like somehow the settings for the outgoing mail server have not been transferred correctly?

go to mail, window, connection doctor and post back what it says

This is a common problem because your SMTP is likely set to Port 25 you need to change that.

In Mail go to Prefs and in the Accounts tab find Outgoing Mail Server diddle the arrows and choose Edit SMTP lists. Choose your provider and click on the Advanced tab... chose any number but not 25.
