after jailbreak, takes forever to backup again?

When 2.1 first came out it was a huge thing for me to finally not have to wait hours and hours for the iphone to backup in iTunes. Backup took just a couple of minutes on 2.1 pre-jailbreak. However, after recent jailbreak it seems the backup takes forever again. I suspect it may be one of the Cydia apps that regressed 2.1 code.

this is on a first gen iphone btw

not me I mean its ~10 seconds slower than 2.0(fastest backup times for my phone) but not slow at all..in all it takes about 15 seconds.

it's been about an hour since I plugged it in and it's still not done
I do have 6+ pages of apps but it wasn't this bad with 2.1 pre-jailbreak
