I will just keep the phone I have and live with it.

My question is what is the cause of this yellow band on almost all the iphone 6? Screen too tightly secured, battery warming the back of screen? What is it? Any possible fixes beside trying to keep switching units?

Numerous iphone 6 have a yellow "spot" or band going across the top (especially by battery indicator). Google it, long thread about it.

yeah i had a yellow spot on the top left of my first 6+

i returned it and got a better screen. I think it looks a little cooler than my previous one, but this one has perfect uniformity so i am happy.

I have no idea why Apple insists on cutting out samsung as one of their suppliers. Samsung makes the best screens in the world and my samsung retina display on my macbook pro was stunning.

LG displays are fraught with issues...

But what is the cause? Can't be just the screen manufacturer. They all have this issue on the top right. Maybe when constructing the screens, too much pressure is applied at the top?
