Im new to the iphone world just got my 3g on launch. For those that this question would apply: I'm wondering what to expect from the iphones battery health after a year of use?
The reason I ask is because im hoping that this phone will last me 2yrs without a battery replacement. At that point I would just upgrade to the new iphone.

Am I being unrealistic? Is it a better return on investment to sell it after just year and upgrade? (assuming they will have a new phone in a year)

whats your thoughts?

I've had mine for a year and have honestly noticed no difference in the battery capacity. I'm sure I will in the future, but so far it's great. Better than the battery on my new 3G.

as long as you take care of it you shouldn't have any problems. when you plug it in make sure it charges completely before unplugging it. With that little "tip" my first gen phone lasted a year with no problems. I dont have any doubts it would have lasted another.
