I have never had an AW but looked at them in the store a few years ago and tried it on. I was not impressed with the way you had to close the sport band with the pin and tuck closure. I would prefer a normal buckle like on my Casio and other watches.

While many people obviously love their AW, many have complained about uncomfortable bands. It is a shame that it seems to be a downside for some users. Has Apple put fashion ahead of practicality and comfort with some of their bands?

Coming from mechanicals, for me it was also a bit of getting used to the Sport Bands and the way they work. But as soon as you get the hang of it, it‘s a matter of seconds to open/close them, quicker than any „normal“ buckle if you ask me

I still think it is overpriced for what it is but, it is a very comfortable band compared to the other bands Apple makes.
I think it's relative. Them amount of time it sits on my wrist, I'm def. getting my monies worth. I even have it on when my AW dies.

I just can't get excited about the colors for the braided loop, not for $100. I wish they made something like the Pride braided loop, but using two colors for the strands (instead of 10). This could give an interesting herringbone effect, if the two colors are carefully selected to go with each other.

I love the look of it but I am hooked on the sport loop myself! :)
The braided solo loop is really elegant, but its not suitable for my type of work so I haven't considered investing in it. Maybe one day.

Agreed.
braided is the best for comfort.
I like to wear my link bracelet often but it is just not as comfy.
Milanese/sport loop all are idle

Better than the sport loop? I‘m curious to hear how these things hold up with extended use and in different temperatures. I notice my wrist changes size drastically between seasons and whenever I lift weights or run (which is most days) so the infinite adjustability of the sport loop is vey appealing. Stretching over time is also a bit if a concern.

My AW SS came with regular sports band, replaced it with Solo one bought off AliExpress, Its great! very comfortable. Love it ordered a few more its only $2 ;)

Sport loop feels like a toy watch. The Velcro is too ugh. Buy two sizes in braided. That’s the way to go

More like offering choice.
classic buckle/modern buckle on eBay or aftermarket bands might be more up your alley.
i have most of the current bands on sale and favorites are braided + link bracelet.
would love a Hermès deployment in 40mm but that’s not made
