I installed the official Microsoft Windows 10 iso, but, as I later found out, it doesn't work with bootcamp and causes the windows install to fail and chain reboot.
So I downloaded an older version that supposedly works, and remerged my partition through bootcamp, so that I could install the correct version. However....
As the image shows, Bootcamp thinks I only have 57GB free. Meanwhile everything else suggests I have the full 104 GB free that I should have.
It appears that bootcamp thinks My initial ~60gb partition is still separate? except the maths doesn't even come to the right amount.
Does anyone know why or how I can fix this? I would like to give more room to windows, but I can't atm because it thinks my MacOS HDD will only have 8 GB available.
I saw in a similar thread that someone thought it might be time machine. I haven't set time machine up to backup, but if I look at it it kind of looks like there was a backup around the time I did the bootcamp windows install and I can't remove it. Could this be the issue? If so, does anyone have any advice on how to remove it? The answers I've received from googling have all failed to remove the apparent backup. See the following pictures
