hi i have g5 with fresh leopard install . after restart my icons on desktop realigned to the right, not in my customized pattern. that happened from the first restart after the installation. pls help i can work like this

It's because you installed a new operating system. If you re-set them the way you want, it should remember the configuration from then on. (Installing the new OS overwrote your .DS_STORE files which remember the position of the icons)

sorry but i didn't upgrade the tiger. i formatted my mac first and i made a complete new installation of leopard. on my macbook pro this didn't happened, neither with leopard nor with snow leopard. the desktop was free from auto align. but also to my g5 desktop it isn't auto align to something just after every restart the icons are align right. i check view option and the arrange option is none

Hi to all!

My first post, new on Mac and loving it.

I have the same problem, any solution? Haven't found yet.

Thanks!
