After sleep, iMac Noise

I'm not sure if my computer has a problem, or if this happens to everyone...

Whenever I wake my iMac G5 up from sleep, it makes this fairly loud "whirrrr" noise for the next 15 minutes or so. Is this normal? Is that the fans or something?
