after snow leopard was installed

sort of strange but after snow leopard was installed on the mac i have been getting numerous program failures like quick time closes and reopens ,preview and text edit.
I have had tech support about 3 times,all they have done is messed up my machine to the point where i lost data.
I re-installed the op system 2x but i still have these glitches ,anyone else experiencing this

clean install

Well the mac came with the op system installed so when snow leopard came i installed over top but yes it might have been better to re=format and install fresh
Might keep that in mind

ppl have had trouble with on-top-installing. clean install should at least rule out software as problem.
