I updated my M2 MBA overnight to Sonoma 14.2.1. while plugged in to power. No error messages when I looked at the screen today, and About shows that 14.2.1 is installed, but it looks like I lost access to Apple services.

The system date is wrong even though its set to automatic, so Safari can’t load most websites. The Wi-Fi net connection is running. App store unavailable.

It shows my Apple ID is logged in but I can’t access the Apple ID service, etc. (Tried to sign out and sign in again but I can't even do that as password is required to turn off Find My and the Apple ID server isn't responding.

Rebooted in Safe Mode but it didn’t fix anything. Apple status shows all services are green. Anyone else?

Fixed it. Googling showed that some users are running into this, so if it helps for anyone, the fix for me was to enter in Terminal:

sudo mv /var/db/timed/com.apple.timed.plist ~/Desktop ; sudo reboot
