I searched but didn't see anything so sorry if this is a redundant thread.

I thought I read somewhere that after upgrading the original iPhones can be used as an iPod Touch basically. Is this correct?

I want to sell my 4GB original phone and if people who don't have AT&T could buy it then it might be easier to sell.

Thanks and sorry again if this is a repeat.

Just wait a few days for the unlocking software for 2.0 to be out and then you can sell it as a phone for any network with the new software features. No AT&T needed. :D
