after updating to iOS 5/icloud/itunes match, can't connect iPhone 4 to iphoto

all i want to do is get some videos off my iPhone and onto iPhoto.

i have an iPhone 4 updated to iOS 5.0.1
i have wireless sync turned on on iTunes (idk if that's helpful to know)
and i've just started using iTunes match.

now, when i connect my iPhone via usb to my computer and i open up iPhoto, my phone doesn't show up as a connected device, so i can't pull videos/photos off of it.

is anyone else experiencing this kind of issue? if so, how do i fix this?

i had the same exact problem. did a search. found your query, but no replies. so i tried disconnecting my iPhone while my "image capture" app was open. then my phone showed up under "devices" and i was able to transfer the videos i wanted. hope this helps.
