I haven't used iPhoto in over a year. I don't even have it installed anymore. When the Aperture 3.3 update came out, it upgraded my library to the new unified library format. For me, Aperture has been fine since then. It hasn't really been behaving any differently from before. Today, though, my girlfriend tried opening the library from her account (the library is stored in the Shared folder with all permissions set to allow reading and writing from both our accounts) and she got this error message*. Obviously, this is a really weird error message, as I haven't used iPhoto in over a year.

*) To keep search engines happy, the full error message text is as follows:
To open this iPhoto library in Aperture, it first needs to be upgraded.

Verify that you have iPhoto 9.3 or later. Then open the library in iPhoto to upgrade it.

Isn't it weird that I can use the library without any problems from my account, yet my girlfriend is asked to upgrade that same library using iPhoto, which we haven't used for over a year. I really don't understand. Does anybody have an idea how to resolve this issue? I don't see how rebuilding the library will work, as it's already working fine for me.
