After wking from sleep sometimes my macbook blanks out and comes back.

Is that a normal thing? It doesn't happen all the time, but I will wake up the cpu and it will come up go blank and come back. Normal?

You might try doing some maintenance.

Boot from your Install Disk, after selecting your language, go to the
Menu bar and select Utilities>Disk Utility>Repair Disk. Quit DU and
Installer and Reboot.
From Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility>Repair Disk Permissions.
