Hi,
I have a old 15" from late 2013 around the house that has a cracked LCD and I would like to fix it up since its still a decent machine (Quad i7 / 1TB SSD / Nvidia 2GB).
Over the past weeks I have looked for displays and I was shocked that a new OEM display is around $450 and a second hand OEM display without coating issues is impossible to find in my area.I went to local computer repair shops and found some early 2013 and 2014 displays but the guys said that the displays would not work properly.
Since luck is not my side at finding a second hand unit, and I'm not paying 400 bucks to fix a 9 year old laptop, I was wondering about those Chinese aftermarket displays that go for $200 or less.
Any thoughts ? Have you guys seen or try them ?
Thanks.
