I recently purchased a 2012 Mac mini with the 2.3 Quad Core, 4GB RAM, and 1TB HDD. I already ordered a 16GB Crucial RAM upgrade but I am wondering if I should order a Samsung 830 256GB SSD and OWC Data Doubler too. Maybe I should have just went with the Fusion Drive or Apple SSD. I think my loaded 15" RMBP may have spoiled me.

What are the Pros and Cons of the following:

1. Samsung 830 256GB SSD with the Apple 1TB HDD and OWC Data Doubler.
2. Apple Fusion Drive.
3. Apple 256GB SSD.

How would the Time Machine/Time Capsule work with the Samsung 830 256GB SSD/Apple 1TB HDD?

How much more time consuming is the data management of option #1 vs the others?

What about TRIM on option #1?

What are the Pros and Cons of these options?

I thought Apple removed the optical drive in the new Mac Mini's. How will OWC's solution work?
