Hello,

Okay, so everything seems to be against me in this perdicament:

I've got a G4 Al Powerbook. About two years ago a DVD got jammed in the drive (b/c of case warping) and instead of paying $900 to fix it, I decided to live with it. But - I finally just got a LaCie DL external DVD burner to make life easier.

I have a disc image on my hard drive that I want to burn to a disc. It's 6.5 Gigs, so obviously a DL DVD is needed. I downloaded Toast, but whenever I go to open it, it crashes. Every time. So I tried using Disc Utility to burn the image - it flashes messages about starting session/burning/closing session for like 40 minutes until it finally says 'error' and the disc has SOMEthing on it, but not the complete image (rendering an expensive DL disc unusable). I get desperate. I download a free trial of Dragon Burn, hearing that it's a good alternative to Toast. Things seem to go pretty seemlessly, except after 'writing' for maybe one minute, it says 'done!'. I get concerned, thinking it is impossible for a 6.5 image to be written to a disc in one minute. I take the disc out and it's still blank! Thank you Dragon Burn.

guys, i'm outta ideas. Can someone help me here - program suggestions, how to get toast up, ANY thing? I really need to burn this image.

Thanks,
The Bum
