Nah - my Treo wasn't that bad. Actually, there are few things I really miss from it, most notably the 'Today' screen. While I used the heck out of it and will also use the heck out of my iPhone, I don't use them for work.
If I were to use them for work, I might give the edge to the Treo right now, but I think Apple is making strides.
The iPhone is a better size, has a larger screen and is faster than my Treo. But my Treo with WM seemed to be easier to get to the things I wanted to use, especially contacts, calling and texting.

You wouldn't think the size is that different, but when you put them in your pocket you can definitely tell the difference.
The switch was easy. I have been with Verizon off and one since it was Cellular one - probably 10 years ago. Anyway, the switch was easy and I am really happy with AT&T. I haven't dropped a call yet - especially in areas that were repeated drop zones on Verizon.
At&T seems to have a very mature offering. I like their communication (emails etc) their online site etc. Overall I'm very happy.
Ive been with cingular/att for about 7-8 years now and i have only experienced one dropped call
It's early and maybe I'm still groggy ... but this does not appear in the app store and they want to take money on their site. That doesn't sound right.
That said, this is something I would buy too if it's legit.
if i have a choice between palm and winmo, i'll take winmo anyday. At least some of winmo phones have good design (HTC Touch Diamond or XPERIA X1) as opposed to the treos... ugly on the outside, even uglier in the inside
Aww....I really liked my Treo 700wx. I never had issue with Windows Mobile. It's not the prettiest OS in the world but it was certainly functional, even moreso on the Treo and stable as a rock. It was HTC that totally sucked, not Windows or Palm. At least for me. In fact, I'd bet the only reason I have an iPhone is because it was released two days before the Treo 800w. The 800w looked like more of the same with a few enhancements and a 320x320 screen so maybe Slingplayer didn't look like a postage stamp.

Yes, it's great!
But, they are trying to put it in the App store, but Apple won't let them. I think it's because it fools with the lock screen.
They want to petition Apple to make it so developers can make these type of programs as well.

Seriously though, I am soooooo glad to be done with that thing!
