DANNNNNNNG!!! I AM FREAKING EXCITED!!! My school is 41 years old. It's only had one snow day before today. And today.....what do you know FREAKIN SNOW DAY!!!. I just got my Macbook Pro yesterday and now i have the whole day and weekend to play with it!!!!

Heh, I don't think any school in Illinois ever shuts down. My entire education took place in Chicago and Urbana (U of I) and I can only recall one or two times school was closed pre-college and once in college due to a ridiculously low temperature.
It's supposed to be 70 degrees here today in NJ
68 degrees here in PA with the chance of thunderstorms.
the High here (MA) is forecasted to be 63° what the hell is going on? record highs on the 1st of December??? and people here are happy about it (co workers). ugh, how are we ever going to educate people on the effects of global warming (I know that this weather may not be a direct result from global warming) if they walk around with a smile on their face because it is in the 60s and the 1st of December.

My university just cancelled all classes until 10 am so I don't have any morning classes. I can't seem to get out of my physics test this afternoon though.

I hate it when they just cancel morning classes, or worse, when they just reschedule the classes for a later time that day.

Nope, never. I trekked through many a blizzard to classes at Chicago (long LONG ago). At least it's got dozens of coffee shops to warm you up.
Okay, wow, you Chicagoans - anyone here ride the CTA today? First a foot of snow slows 'em down, then a station apparently caught fire in the Loop? Nice. It took over an hour from Addison to Lake on the Red Line, and I ended up taking a cab the rest of the way south.
