AI: 17" MacBook Pro Alongside the Intel iBook

According to AppleInsider's latest article, we'll see a 17" MacBook Pro "before WWDC" and probably released alongside the Intel iBooks (MacBooks).

Interestingly, there seems to be no 12" MacBook Pro planned.

Sounds good. Although, I am not sure if I will buy a new iBook/MacBook or wait for laptops based on Merom to roll out.

Ouch...this hurts! I just bought a new 17" PBG4 SD in November 2005. I thought that I wouldn't mind the whole MacBookPro thing if they didn't have any intention of bringing a 17" model out.

Having said that, I love my 17" PBG4 and I'm glad to see that Apple plans to keep the 17-incher going...I know it's the least popular of all the Apple lappies, but there's nothing like a beautiful 17" screen staring at you from a dead sexy aluminum case, imho. Keep 'em comin' Apple...
