When I try to connect to AIM, iChat says an unexpected error has occured and the connection is lost. However, I can go online on Adium just fine. I would like to use iChat for video conferencing, so how can I fix this, or is there another chat program I can use for video chat? Thanks

I read a post on another forum with the same issue. The poster resolved the issue by opening iChat preferences, selecting his AIM account, and changing the connecting port to 443. Also make sure that you haven't checked "Connect Using Proxy".

Can't connect at all

I'm having issues with AIM and iChat too for video conferencing. I tried changing the port to 443 with no luck. I'm using a MacBook and trying to connect with someone using AIM 6.x on Vista. We've even tried disabling the Vista firewall. I can send an invite and they accept; however, we can never establish a video connection. Text chatting works fine. Any other suggestions?
