AIM Problem

hey,
i just switched 2 mac and i downloaded AIM and frequently aim will just shut down w/o me pressing anything, then an error screen pops up. ive restarted the comp and re installed the program and no difference.. what shoudl i do?

Use iChat.

I agree with the others. There may be some PPC/Universal Binary type issues going on.

Just go ahead and use iChat, it works seamlessly. Also there are other programs you can try. The five minutes of learning iChat is better spent than an hour trying to figure out what is wrong.

Adium, as good an application as it is, can be considered over-kill if all you need is access to the AIM network, plus you lose a degree of OS integration (e.g. indication of when an email in Mail came from someone who is online). I generally advise using iChat unless you actually need the multi-chat protocol features of Adium.

Adium has way more OS integration than you might think, maybe more than iChat since it has a few more features.
