Wow, very disappointed in the AIM Update today.

You mean to tell me they can't figure out a way to leave AIM connected in the background? Even tho it is "MultiTask" now, it still disconnects when you leave the Ap.
 
I don't there's any IM Apis to do that, yet. I'm sure apple will add more as time goes on.
 
yeah I was kind of dissappointed apple chose to leave IM out of the multitasking API's. When I first saw the OS keynote I assumed they left it out cause they were going to introduce iChat on the iPhone 4 with the front facing camera. Then when that didnt happen I assumed they would atleast use the "local" notifications to make the notifications more reliable. lets hope that they are holding off on it cause they are reworking the notification system and aim apps will get an overhaul then.
