Hello folks,
I was just wondering if you are hearing the same high pitch buzz I hear when the keyboard backlight is set to its lowest brightness (only one "pip" ).

Of course it is barely audible, but when in a closed room with no other electronic appliances running it is a bit annoying.

Turning the backlight on and off repeatedly might help in "locating" the noise.

Any opinions are appreciated,
Thanks

I wish I could help you. I have tinnitus, constant ringing in the ears. So if my MacBook air were doing that I'd probably mistake it with my tinnitus. I have never heard of this problem but if it is bothering you I would definitely call AppleCare. Good luck!

I think the backlight is LED and Fiber Optics based so there can be no noise.

I don't think it's coming from the LEDs, it might be the whirring of the Boost Converter used to generate the voltage that drives the LEDs. Sometimes it can fall into the human audible spectrum.
