Hey guys, I think it's about time for me to upgrade my 15" 2016 MBP with Touch Bar.

I'm interested in getting the 15" Air because I want a bigger display. How does this display hold up against my current laptop? There's no comparison out there except between the new Pros. I want the better display but I don't need any extra power as I have a desktop and the laptop will be used as a personal machine for watching videos mostly.

Has anyone upgraded from my "era" and have any feedback to give?

My wife is in the same boat, but with a slightly newer MBP 16 (I think a 2019… it’s an Intel). The reduced ports isn’t an issue, but the lack of a port on the right-hand side is.

Wish they put one on each side.

my 15" air has a better screen than my 15" 2013" retina MBP. I know that's a bit older than the 2016 models, but as far as I know the screens on all 15" retina models are pretty much the same (aside from marginal increases in brightness over the years).

Had my relatives 15" MBA next to my 2015 15" MBP

Other than the notch, it looked and felt identical to my eyes

Thanks for the replies guys. Now considering the M3 MBP. If I get the MBA now it feels like paying for the same laptop as mine currently
