Air 8/8/16gb/512gb or Pro 8/8/8gb/256gb

They are about the same price, the Pro being $50 more. I am debating if I want the bigger battery and better display or the bigger SSD and save $50.

I don’t really need too
Much disk as all my stuff is in the cloud. I use mostly to compile Java code, Docker, etc...zoom and Citrix workspace

I am a developper as well and hesitate between the same computer (except 16gb for the pro you might have made a mistake) :
Air 8/8/16gb/512gb vs Pro 8/8/16gb/256gb

Air would have double the storage, I also read that the 512gb is faster than the 256gb. I am not sure that development would get the fan to start... and I prefer the form factor of the air and not having a touchbar.
