Air beam or any other motion detection

Hey folks
I recently discovered this app called : Airbeam.
this app has an feature called Motion detection, I installed it on my Ipod and it doesn't seem to work. Has any one ever tried it?. I tried to monitor my car using this app facing towards parking lot.
