I'm looking for a good resource to get a battery for a 4 year old Air Book. I took it to the Apple store and they told me Apple no longer makes the battery for it. Any suggestions? I really don't want to buy another Air Book just because I can't get a battery.

The name of the Mac is printed below the screen on the bezel.

As for replacements, Apple still offers replacement for all MBA models: http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=servicefaq&geo=United_States&product=Macnotebooks
And if you want to save 30 USD: https://www.ifixit.com/Store/Mac/Ma...e-2008-Mid-2009-Replacement-Battery/IF188-085

But then again, you were probably just trying to link to your website.

Thanks, I'll check into that.
I was getting the battery replaced for my daughter - It appears to have swollen to the point where it's making the keyboard bulge and the lid no longer closes correctly. She's headed to Denmark for a study-abroad program and I want to get it fixed before she leaves.

Apple no longer replaces batt for 4 years old machine? Call me skeptical.

Yeah, that seems *REALLY* suspect. The non-user-removable battery was a *BIG* deal - they had to essentially promise that they'd have battery replacement available "forever" to calm people down.
