Hi, so I just jailbroke my ipad air today. Now I understand that mobile Substrate isn't updated yet and so no (or very little) tweaks would work. So I would be 'careful'. All I wanted to do was put XBMC and iFile on it anyway for the time being. Heres what I did;
Jailbroke, Open cydia
Cydia restarted ipad as normal
Did updates for cydia
Removed ultrasn0w source to remove the 'errors'
Added xbmc source
Installed xbmc 12.3
Installed iFile
**Now here is where I notice that Cydia icon has changed to an all white with 'orange' lines icon, kind of like 2-3 triangles?**
Installed XBMC gotham monthly build via iFile
Wasn't sure what was happening with the cydia icon so thought I would re-boot.
When the iPad rebooted the cydia 'app' was gone. Tried searching for it but didn't find anything. iFile and XBMC still worked.
Now I have restored back to stock and am about to try again. I think I will follow the exact same steps as I did before and see if it happens again. I would really like to know what the cause was? I think it may have been something to do with iFile as it hasn't been updated yet?
Eitherway has anyone heard of this before? And what is the fix? Its fine when it happens now but if it was to happen after the JB is fixed its a pretty significant problem
Edit:
Second attempt, well can't install xbmc they are having server problems. iFile installed and no cydia icon change. The only problem now though is if I exit cydia after installing something, I can't reopen it, it just crashes. Rebooting the devices allows me back in however. Is this nothing to worry about and be fixed in an update or is something else wrong again lol?
