Tried looking for a specific thread so please direct me to it if its already been done....
Trying to decide between pro and air. Below are a couple of points around my use.
- I'm not too fussed about storage as i use my iMac and external hard drives for everything. However the more the merrier as a bonus.
- I do need SPEED i don't want any beach balling and want to be able to load app instantly, i use iTunes, sandbox (managing my website with MANY blog pages) and general web browsing, i don't think i'd be doing much else on the the air/pro
- Not sure if the above programs are RAM hungry so not sure if i would need 4/8gb
- Unsure which would be best for processing power.
- I will mostly be using it around the house but will want to take it further afield at some points.
- i MAY be doing some video converting, i use iskysoft for converting films/tv shows into iTunes hd format. I currently do this on the iMac but may do some on the laptop.
Please let me know your recommendations.
Side note budget is looking at £1000 so would be either basic macbook pro or low range air.
Thanks!
