Air Pods Pro 2 just as good as AirPods Max on the airplane

I recently took a flight on an Embraer 145 (with JSX, video review below if you like) and decided to use my new AirPods Pro 2 for ANC instead of the AirPods Max, though I still brought the Max with me, just in case lol.

If you're like me, and have v1 and Max, I was hesitant to buy the v2 but I'm glad I did. Worthy upgrade to the v1 and not once did I consider the return time.

Once you have the right ear tip for each AirPod the seal is perfect.

Also, the comfort is much better with this version 2. I tried every tip in my version 1 Pros and couldn't get the comfort level that I have with v2.

So the ANC is much better, literally on par with the Max, and the comfort means I can wear them for longer than 30 minutes before fussing with them like my Air Pods Pro 1 model.

My flight was 3 hours and the iPad Mini showed 50% for the two AirPods. For flights around 6 hours I'm now happy to take only the buds with me. Also the charge on the case seems to last forever and a 5min charge for 'about an hour more listening' seems perfectly viable.

have some Sony over ear ANC, and APP 2nd gen,

I typically don't carry the Sonys anymore, especially on quick trips.


also check out the foam tips, I use the ones from comply, they are a bit better at blocking outside sound. and for my ears they fit a bit better. They do need to be replaced every few months though.
