Since updating my iPhone 15 pro to ios 26 my 7 air tags do not respond to precision finding unless I restart my iPhone each time I search.

I can track my car keys when my wife has them. It shows me the road she is on

If the same car keys are here at home I cannot locate them. The message I get is "Searching for a Signal. Try moving to a different location" I get this standing next to the keys. If I activate "Play Sound" and I am next to the keys it will beep, but the phone does not point me to the keys using the "Find " option. If I restart the phone the "Find" option will work , but only for an hour or so and then it reverts back to "Searching for a Signal. Try moving to a different location."

I have unpaired the air tags and set them up fresh, I have gone through all of the settings for location services, etc., and the batteries are all good. When I reset the air tags I get the message that "location services are not turned on", but when I use the link to go to the Location services in Settings they are turned on.

I spent 45 minute on the phone with Apple support and the remotely checked my phone and reinstalled the update, but nothing changed. I do not see this issue in the forums on ios26 problems. Everything worked fine prior to the update so there is something in the update that is causing this. If anybody has any insights I would love to hear them.
