Air Video HD on rMB

I am considering switching from my SP4 i5 to a rMB 1.1 or 1.2 for longer battery life and my preference of OSX. I just have one key function that I need to make sure the rMB can handle.

I quite often stream 1080p MKV files from my SP4 to my 4th Gen ATV. I want to make sure that the rMB can handle this task since there is some on the fly encoding going on. I've heard mixed views that I need clarity on.

It works fine if you use an app like Beamer. Streaming HD video over airplay screen mirroring is laggy though and I avoid it if possible.

Air Video HD supports QuickSync so you should be fine. You have to activate it in Air Video though.
