Here's the problem if you guys can help?:
i've been successfully backing up wirelessly to a Sparse bundle on a USB hard drive connected to an AEBS.
I recently restored to a prior configuration using TM that eventually meant i had to reinstall OSX (it would not boot)
Now everything is fine EXCEPT Time Machine. I can view Time Machine, I can copy files from previous backups but I cannot write to this sparsebundle. Applecare have had me plug another drive in via USB and complete a full TM backup which is fine, then delete the PLIST file for Time Machine. All that happens is Time Machine prepares 800,000+ files then skips to cleanup without any actual backup. This will go on in a loop indefinitely.
Applecare advice is ' we do not support this method' and are suggesting i just reformat the original drive and start again. I'd rather not do this if anyone else has a solution?
