AirDisk won't spin down under Tiger?

It seems that when the airdisk is mounted under my Tiger machine using AEBSn firmware 7.2.1, it does not spin down. However, when I unmount it, it eventually spins down. On my Leopard machine, even with it still mounted, it eventually spins down.

Is this a known issue in 7.2.1 when drives are mounted under tiger? if so, i'll try 7.1.1 again

Any ideas? Thanks.
