AirDisks and torrents

question for anyone who is or has tried using an AirDisk; either attached to a Time Capsule or the internal timecapsule drive.

I use the main timecapsule for my backups, but wanted to attach a small drive to the USB port to the TC for a small torrent drive.

Im wondering if it would suffer any form of speed decrease?
would it send the data (or talk) to the machine then to the AirDisk, or does it just port it straight to the airdisk?
