I've noticed the following and was wondering if others have too, and maybe found a solution
I have 3 iMacs that are used.
- a Mac mini as a server
- a iMac desktop
- a mac portable
Typically I have a disk share open from the desktop to the mini for file access.
Occasionally I need to transfer files from the portable to the desktop. So I use airdrop, here I notice that whilst airdrop is transferring a file, the response time of the server is close to zero. Then as soon as airdrop is complete, the server responds as usual (fast).
Is this normal, Airdrop sort of kills the whole bandwidth ?
