AirDrop b/w iOS 7 & OS X Mavericks

Hey everyone,

I have been reading some forums, looking for information as to whether or not it is possible to use "Airdrop" between my iPhone 5s (w/ iOS7) and my MBP (2014; OSX Mavericks).

It appears that as of right now (at least) you cannot perform this action. The only reason I am still asking is because all of the forum information I had come across was dated to back in 2013. Therefore, I was curious to see if this had been changed since then and is now possible?

It's not possible right now, but gosh I sure hope iOS 8 and OS X 10.10 change that!

@ musika - I know, really! I can't believe that with the new softwares and everything that, that isn't something that was automatically included. Oh well, when all else fails - email myself/thumb drive/etc!

Same here. It would be so much earlier to move stuff really quick, like a photo I want to post a forum or craigslist or a document I want to work with offline.
