Hi,

For many reasons, I keep Mavericks for now. I can't use Yosemite.
But I would use a Airdrop to share photos with my iPhone on iOS 8.2.

Is there a way, a hack, to use AirDrop between iOS 8 and OS X MAVERICKS ?

Thanks for help.

Why not use a storage service to share photos between iOS and Mavericks? I used to do that before I upgraded to Yosemite.

There's no publicly known way to do so. Based on how things work at Apple, some early build of Yosemite (that resembles Mavericks UI-wise and performance-wise) do support the new AirDrop. Although we could never get hold of those builds... And they are (supposed to be) quite unreliable.

For everyone outside, while there are people who are capable of making such a port, it's not worth the effort. (For example, you can just dual boot into Yosemite when needing AirDrop compatibility instead of messing up with kernel extensions and system frameworks)

You will have better luck using 3rd party alternatives such as Dropcopy.
