Macbook Pro will not recognize my 6 Plus. Airdrop is turned on and discoverable to everyone on the phone. When I initiated airdrop on the Macbook it doesn't see it and asks me to have all devices turned on.

Macbook is running Yosemite. Phone is on iOS8.1.2

A friend of mine couldn't get Airdrop to work for the life of him. The issue turned out to be his router. Simply restarting it resolved the issue.

Will try that tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up.

more information please.

has this worked before?

which macbook pro do you have??

is it older air drop or newer airdrop?

iphone 6 plus cannot talk to legacy airdrop devices. and visa versa

does the iPhone 6+ have its screen on and unlocked?

when an iPhone has its screen off it can't be airdropped to.

is wifi and bluetooth enabled on both devices?

is airdrop set to "everyone" ??
