AirDrop is super useful and I use several times a day. I've had an issue now for a while (can't remember when it started) where I'll try and AirDrop from my iPad. It sees my Mac, but the actual file transfer won't begin until I toggle AirDrop off and then back on again in Control Center.

Any reason this might be happening??

you are referring to toggling it ON/OFF on the Mac? Which version of iPadOS? Try setting Airdrop to receive from Everyone on the Mac.
Thanks.

Yes - toggling on the Mac. iPad Pro (2018) on iPadOS 16.2. AirDrop on the Mac is already set to Everyone.

This is in an intermittent issue and while the workaround (doing the on/off toggle) isn't really that bad, I just don't understand why I sometimes have to do that before the transfer can happen. I see it most often when transferring a PDF from GoodNotes - perhaps there's an issue that is app-specific?
