Between iOS 8.3 and this Yosemite.
The phone shows up in Yosemite every time. However, the Mac does not show up on the phone. The ONLY way I can get the Mac to show in the Airdrop area in the phone is if I click on the Bluetooth logo at top of Yosemite, click "Send File To Device", select any file on Mac, then hit Send. The next dialog box opens and it starts spinning the little wheel searching of devices.
The, suddenly, the Mac shows up in Airdrop on phone and I can send from phone to Mac and vice versa. If I close the dialog box on the Mac that is searching for devices, the Mac disappears from the phone airdrop area.
What is going on? It is not supposed to be this way. It was fine in the past. I don't know when it stopped working......I don't use this feature that much. But it is the best way to transfer a file.
