Hi,

I've had an issue with airdrop since migrating a 2008 iMac to a 2013 iMac. It's never worked for me on this 2013 iMac, however both iPad Air 2 and iPhone 5s have no problem airdropping between each other and other 2012/2013 iMacs. I wonder whether migrating from the 2008 iMac has left some bluetooth settings over?

I tried a clean install of beta El Capitan today and still no airdrop. Is there a way to hard reset all bluetooth settings? I've reset PRAM, etc etc. No luck.

System report shows somethings that look like they might be a problem:
Discoverable: Off - should this say on? Airdrop and System Pref > Bluetooth say iMac IS discoverable

Any help would be much appreciated.

I think it's more an issue with the airdrop software. I too have no issues airdropping files between my iOS devices, but trying to get my iPhone to detect my Macbook Air is hit and miss (works maybe like half the time?). Probably some compatibility issues between iOS and OSX.
