I'm not sure where the fault lies, whether it's iOS 16.1 or Ventura, but all of the sudden Airdrop takes a solid 30 seconds PER PHOTO, sending from my iPhone 12 Mini to M1 MacBook Air. It used to be less than one second per photo.

Anyone else seeing this and/or have any idea how to get it back to Monterey/iOS 15 speeds?

Just curious, are the photos already fully downloaded on your iPhone? It could be taking time to download each one. That shouldn’t take 30 seconds each but sometimes downloading the full resolution photo just to view it can be sluggish. Just a thought.

Yes, they are always present on my device, not offloaded to iCloud.

Anyone else got info? Surely I can't be the only one that Airdrops things to my Ventura machine.

AirDrop has been "slow as molasses" for me ever since I got my M1 Max MBP. My Hackintosh is much faster with AirDrop from my phone.
