I have some shares on a mini server, but the transfer speed is slow (for whatever reason. It should be much higher since its all inside a lan and going through a 802.11ac router). So slow that its only 2-3 MB/s at most times.

Is it possible to connect to the shares directly via an ad hoc like network for faster transfer speeds to the shares?
