Airdropped PDFs open in Kindle app not Files app

Hi! We have an iPad Pro (9.7 inch); when we Airdrop PDF files to it they are automatically sent to the Kindle app. There is no option location dialog to store the PDFs into the Files app (or any other location).

I have "Googled" the problem but can't find a solution; I was hoping somebody here might be able to help.
